LIVE RYTHMS

Live rhythms is an all male 5 piece Afro Pop band which was established in 2007 with just a keyboard and a drummer. With these two instruments, these youngsters from Sebokeng engaged other music loving youths from within their township, and soon Live Rhythms the band was born.

The band is made up of :
Boitumelo Mokoena – a 16yr old bass guitarist Thembile Muntu – a 17yr old keyboard, piano and bass player
• Lebogang Modisakeng - 17yr old drummer, bass and keyboard player
• Papi Koloi – the oldest member at 21yrs of age who plays the tenor saxophone and a wide range
• of wind instruments • Fani Bebeza – an 18yr old alto saxophone player who also plays a wide range of wind instruments

This exceptionally young band has performed at local Jazz clubs, like Groetepent and in Meyerton at a battle of the bands competition where they took the first prize. Although this is their biggest accomplishment thus far, it is certainly not their last. Their name live Rhythms is a fitting description of their musical style and they are set to take the South African musical landscape by storm.
