South
Africa has an amazing sound track that pervades all
facets of life; in sorrow and happiness, joy and commemoration.
This soundtrack draws from ancient traditions and has
many colours, tones and textures from here and around
the globe. Many a time it bursts into the live form,
and that’s where we at T-Musicman come to life.
T-Musicman was established in 1989 and we have since
become one of Africa’s foremost music and concert
promotion companies.
We do what we do because we love and are passionate
about what South Africans of all shades love to hear
and experience. We are also crazy about South African
music and to share it with people around the world.
We dream of and think about putting on shows and once
decided we roll up our sleeves and make sure we stage
the best shows for music lovers.
Through the years we have invested more than R20 million
rands in this effort to do the best. We are proud of
our following shows:
- The Standard Bank Joy of Jazz
- Jazz in the Park (year)
- Reconciliation Day Concert at Union Buildings in
2006
- Jazz at Dickinson Park
It’s one thing to love our music and quite another
to make sure it keeps on getting better. Audiences are
rightfully demanding better and we realise that the
standard of our local music must be improved so that
it can earn more, get stronger in challenging and turbulent
times and build the overall industry. We therefore initiate
and support various efforts to develop our industry.
Read up on our workshops, internships and other development
initiatives – lend a hand too where you can.
We have also have an artist management boutique and
we are proud of our selection. They include but are
not limited to Hugh Masekela, Jonas Gwangwa, Rebecca
Malope, Gloria Bosman, Mzwakhe Mbuli and Sipho Mabuse.
In brief: we are excited about what we do because we
are excited about South Africa, we believe in good relations
with people around the world and we love working with
other people. We believe live shows, music and the arts
are a great agent for a better world.
Who knows perhaps we can work together, we’ll
know when we meet...
